in this note i assume he is the best candidate by far (since i do not know him anyway)

but a conservative write-in candidate can only help lose the election for the R candidate

just how 99 percent of these elections work, like it or not

and i do not like it, but there is is nonetheless.
unless the R candidate is a GOPe that stinks to High Heaven, as some GOPe’s do I realize, then I would suggest holding your nose and voting for the R candidate anyway

You realize that that becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy:

The “other” (in this case, write-in) candidate can’t win, so don’t vote for him.

Because nobody votes for him.
