You are correct. We saw what the AR did to an arm at close range. The wounds are not consistent. And from the video, the first shoot would have been at close range.
And did his team have any guidance on interacting with the media? Who was the TL? Should the TL do the the media dance?
And where is the team now? How come they have not gotten a lawyer to explain how they prepared for this given the time sensitive nature of the threat?
His team let him down. Disgusting.

My wife said she read that Kyle was protecting his grandparents business, but I can find nothing saying that, so I’m not buying it yet. Same may be true of the exit wound...
Exactly where is the good parenting in that? Kid could very easily be dead. And where is the experience/leadership that a kid that young needs before getting involved in armed street battles?
Also, the first shooting apparently occurs before the part of the video where he is running for his life. I don’t believe the first shooting is on that video.

Then when the NCO’s get blown away it’s up to the 17 year old to save his teammates and himself, so not really stupid at all.
Mr. Wood (Richard Jewell’s attorney) is working to secure him good representation.
He has a great self-defense argument from what the videos show, but like others, I wish a 17 year old had NOT been there and the adults around him should have sent him home or watched out for him.
The best I can piece together the first shooting was where he was cornered and alone at the car lot. The first “victim” was assaulting him. He tried to render aid to his assailant there and called 911 allegedly. The mob started trying to “apprehend him” and there is video that shows he tried to turn himself in to the police prior to the last two shootings (the bulk of the video).
The “evidence” liberals point to is his pro-police content. AKA, to support the police is by definition “racist”.
And boy did that upset race agitator Gayle King on CBS This Morning. She said Blacks get shot for running away from cops and the guy in WI had his knife under the floor mat so what he did was fine. But the kid walking down the street with a rifle is given water by police (of course that was earlier but she didn't want to let facts get in the way of her lies)

This is not rocket surgery and even someone with a 2 digit IQ oughta be able to figure this out.
I just reviewed it agan. “...killed somebody” is close to discernable. You can definately hear “I just killed somebody” if you try. That doesn’t mean thats what he said, but it is not unreasonable.
Nothing close to “I didn’t shoot him.”
Regardless, he was being chased by someone who threw what I first thought was a molatov coctail at him, but someone else suggested it was something in a plastic bag, which seems likely to me. But the kid was running from someone chasing him who had been verbally and physically hostile and seemed to be looking for a fight in an earlier video.
We will hopefully soon find out what the kid says happened, but I expect he was no longer able to retreat.
I expect his subsequent shootings will be analyzed and used as good examples of where to draw the line for lethal force for decades.
bullet entered the side of the head too but he was probably face to face with Kyle. One video says/shows a muzzle flash that would have come from the right direction for side of head entry. Seems like Kyle would have aimed for center body mass as he did with the skateboard guy. Not sure if he was aiming for the pistol holding arm of other guy or center mass and was just off to the left.
