I'm "guessing" he was taking photos of perps committing arson or other crimes and they turned on him.
That he ran away and was pursued before shooting, this is clearly self defense.
Saying he should have stayed home is like saying the Tennessee Volunteers that went to Texas and defended the Alamo weren’t heroes, and should have stayed home.
He was in the street because he was attempting to surrender to police after shooting Red Shirt in the business parking lot.
Nobody is questioning who shot Red Shirt in the head. Rittenhouse walked away from the body loudly stating “I just shot someone.”
That coverage there is way off base....someone didn’t do their homework.
In fairness, I wouldn’t want unauthorized uninvited armed strangers to start patrolling my home & neighborhood. Don’t know their motivation, skill, etc. This mid/upscale neighborhood has enough armament & training & interest to handle it ourselves, if we need help we’ll call you.
Prosecutorial abuse of a minor. Put the DA on a child abuse list.

Wouldn’t it be more appropriate to say this of the two who initiated violence and are now deceased?
No it wasn’t how it happened.....
The first guy shot in the head was destroying the auto dealer property vehicles Rittenhouse and other militas were protecting because the car dealership across the street had cars set ablaze the night before.
It was after that the thug group began chasing him when he ran across the lot and down the street.
A bunch of us here on FR watched this goingdwn last night and posted links etc.
Like it or not this is likely to be a self-defense case of one sort or another. Unless they do a deal....

He would make a great soldier. I would recruit him after he is vindicated. He has more balls than most.
The police are not doing their job. 2 dead terrorist and a shooter with a strong self defense argument isnt all bad.
Anthony Huber was the skateboarder who bashed his skateboard over the head of the shooter while he was on his back, then shot when attempting to take the rifle from him....

I thought media ‘refrained’ from naming anyone under the age of 18. They sure have not refrained from splattering Rittenhouse’s name all over their news reporting.

Great analysis. Key: first guy shot had been aggressively demanding “shoot me n*****! shoot me n*****!”; this video then shows him chasing Rittenhouse and throwing things at him while screaming. Rittenhouse then end up somewhat cornered (likely can’t avoid hand-on assault at that point) and shoots.
