1. Metabolism, some have liver enzymes that more efficiently metabolize the opioid.
2. Tolerance. Receptor desensitization and increased metabolism.
3. Size of person.
There is no standardized table for lethal opioid levels that take into account tolerance and metabolism.
Typically, sedation will precede airway collapse and respiratory failure. I don’t know if anyone reported that he was somnolent or sedated before the cop stopped him.
It has been speculated that Floyd took fentanyl pills just before he was restrained by the cop. Orally, it would take at least 30 minutes or so for the pills to reach peak levels in the brain.
True but these findings should create enough reasonable doubt that the accused cops will be found not guilty of murder.

When you take street drugs you have no idea what the potency is.

My own research indicates that sublingual Fentanyl tablets will begin to take effect within 15 minutes.
When combined with the other narcotics found in his system, respiratory depression is a near certainty.
Not to mention his heart disease and hypertension which is another dangerous combo with this drug.
