I see a stark difference between the Daniel Shaver case and this. Daniel was fearfully complying and was in an already weak position being on his hands and knees. This guy wasn’t complying at all, ignored all orders and reached for something in his car. This wasn’t an “I’m frozen in fear” (non-compliance) or a I’m complying but moved my arm wrong. This was a blatant disregard for the officers orders, once guns are drawn you’re going to lose - this guy pushed it.

...not even close imo.

I agree that Shaver was acting very differently than this guy was. My point here was that both men were under stress, and therefore could not be reasonably expected to perfectly obey every police command.

For me anyway, I think it will all boil down to whether or not the police saw a gun before shooting the black guy. I know cops have a dangerous job. But I cannot accept that it’s okay to shoot someone because he * might * be going for a gun.

Anyway, thank you for your polite and reasoned response. That doesn’t always occur here when the topic is controversial!

” ignored all orders”

Tell everyone just what those orders were, and how you come to have that information...........
