Why did it take Trump 6 months to figure that out? Freepers have been screaming their heads off about the stacked covid task force, so it wasn’t hard to figure out that Fauci shouldn’t be allowed to call the shots with no dissenting voices. I really wish Trump would focus on important things -like this - more and stop tweeting about Morning Joes ratings.

There was nothing to figure out. This is all fear-mongering politics and the President has known it all along.
He also knows the Leftist fear-mongering was largely successful, and you can’t just dismiss people’s fears (however unfounded) and say “It’s all a hoax - just ignore the dire warnings”.
If you try that your political enemies have you just where they want you. They can all you cavalier, uncaring, or “failed to listen to the experts”
In politics, you have to “get ahead of” issues like this.
That was the whole purpose of the task force briefings - to comfort all the Karens and chicken littles and show that you are taking it seriously.
Fauci and Birx were annoying as hell to those of us who knew this was all political fear mongering - but the President didn’t pick them to talk to us. They were picked to appeal to a different audience - the fearful people who think its all real.
I do agree it’s high time for Fauci and Birx to be sidelined and get Dr Atlas to begin trying to talk panicking people “off the ledge”.
