Good for OSP. Why would you subject your personnel to injury and insult if there are no prosecutions? The police should not deploy if the DA’s and courts will do nothing. They are simply targets of assault for rioters who face no consequences so it is somewhat pointless.
The people of Portland will have to show the mayor and city council that they are pissed and tired of the anarchy, but I don’t think they are there yet. A recall petition would do wonders for Mayor Wheeler’s attitude.
