It's the COVID-19-responsible thing to do -- sequester in place and announce from his home.
Perhaps if Trump gave his acceptance speech sheltered in the White House basement that would be better. At least he would be parroting Biden.
Andrea Greenspan can fret all she wants. A journalist married to the Fed Chair - no problem there at all.
Fine, move it to the Lincoln Memorial. Probably more fitting anyway.
Lol! So what are you going to do Nancy when Trump does just that, impeach him again?
Amazing that she doesn’t have anything bigger to be concerned about.
They really are scraping the bottom of the barrel (has that term been declared racist yet?) to drum up fake outrage.
Breaking with tradition? Like when Bill Clinton was selling overnight stays in the Lincoln bedroom?
“Is that appropriate? I’m not sure if there’s a law against it, but there certainly is a tradition. You don’t use the White House as the backdrop for any politics. He has broken that with the Rose Garden and other events before,” host Andrea Mitchell fretted.”
Remind me again: where did Obama’s Beer Summit take place?
Biden's accepting at his home. The nursing one.
playacting her pious self. She can't fool even the Democrat base - they are not dumb, they just don't care.
It’s not like he had sex with an intern in the White House, or something seedy and disgusting like that.
Queen Nancy has thus spoken.
B!tch.
>>> How does the senile old communist b***h think she is going to stop him?
Anybody who has a wife, no matter how loving, how sensible, and how (fill-in-the-blank), will have experienced at least one occasion in real life that the wifey stopped you from doing certain thing(s) that you really wanted to do.
Hence, Pelosi will nag, will shame, and will goad others, esp. Republicans, to “persuade” Trump from doing it.
That’s just Bill and Hilly grafting, nothing to do with ‘politics’.
Is she referring to the Hatch Act? Does it even apply to the President?
He lives there, he should do it from a room in the Presidential quarters instead of the oval office.
If the Democrats are complaining, then he should go for it.
Reagan announced for re-election on national TV at the White House. I want to say it was Bruce Morton (CBS at the time?) who compared Reagan’s announcement against Mondale’s, Glenn’s, etc. Reagan had the best presentation.
I think Glenn announced in a high school gym.
Morton concluded with “If you’re going to run for President, the oval office is a great place to start!”
I’m not sure about Carter, Clinton, or Obama.
