The Federal government has an absolute obligation to secure the peace:
Article IV, Section 4: “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.”
When the state executives and legislatures refuse to act against the current insurrection, I see no other course but that the People must declare them ineffective/outlaws and petition the Federal gov’t for relief.
The legislature’s are convened and fine... there is no basis for federal law enforcement.
Trump is falling into a TRAP here... they will use this against him and accuse him of being a dictator!
