Why are people so convinced hospitals are not full? It is simply not true.
They are full of sick people not with virus. There are still other diseases and for months people did not see their doctor for regular check ups. The virus is not the only illness. People still have cancer, heart disease, diabetes ect ect.
The recent MSM reporting on hospitals has been very misleading.
I believe the early reporting (March) was reasonably accurate, but the most recent reporting has become true scaremongering.
The data is easy to verify—and instead of giving verifiable hospitalization and ICU numbers, the mass media has decided to go with vague and unsubstantiated claims.
I know that is not a surprise to folks around here.
Obviously you did not read the article. The hospitals are NOT FULL OF COVID PATIENTS!
Shut down hospitals who are normally at eighty percent occupancy for three months and then reopen them and guess what, they fill up very FAST.
Then if you change the traditional definition of patient from someone who is symptomatic to anyone who has no symptoms but test positive for Covid antibodies and suddenly everyone with a broken leg that got over Covid months ago is suddenly a dreaded Covid patient.
Why else do you think the Democrats put in a large cash bonus to hospitals for every Covid patient?
We are being played to take out Freedom away from us. The Media LIES, and have become a domestic enemy of our Nation.
Stop living by headlines and actually READ THE FREAKIN ARTICLES.
If you do not think for yourself the wolves will be glad to invite you to dinner.
Because hospitals shut down floors during the absence of people who were not going for routine things. This reduced capacity. Now there is not staffing for it. So the hospital capacity are not necessarily beds but staffed beds. It is an easily manipulated number. To tell a story that doesnt exist.
They are not full of Covid patients because it is thev primary cause.
They are full to staffed capacity.
They are not full to physical capacity
Hospitals furloughed a good number of employees when they reduced “elective” procedures
Now those people are back for their elective procedure and the there is a backlog of them waiting, which current staffingblevele are going to make it difficult to catch up
smay be full now because other things that were put off because of covid are being treated.
There is more to being sick than just the stoopid damn covid.
