More of them will be hurt until elected leaders say enough is enough and tell the police to disperse the crowd and arrest them all. Period. The cops can take care of this, but they have to be confident that they will be supported. Currently they deploy the police, tie their hands behind their backs, and then prosecute the police for every boo-boo the rioters receive AFTER numerous commands to disperse.

These are NOT lawful protests. They are violent and destructive. There is no political discourse taking place in the midst of anarchy.

Agreed, and those who participate should be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Sending a group to jail for 1 to 3 years may dissuade others from joining in. So far, that hasn’t happened, which just encourages more of the same. Mayors and governors need to learn that lesson, and we sure as hell are not giving money to cities who let this happen.
