I am glad that President Trump did not attempt to give equal time to the flaws of the American hero’s that he highlighted in his speech last night. Aside from that, many families of various races that have been here awhile had family members who owned slaves, while others in the same family tree helped destroy the institution. Same is true of the Revolutionary War: Tories and Patriots. Some were conscientious objectors due to religion.
