You would think someone in charge would say “Look...we don’t want to force the Mayor’s hand...why make an enemy out of someone who is either indifferent or wants to use us as a tool to discredit or make things difficult for her enemies...like Trump. Don’t put her on the spot or do anything to antagonize her.”
