Ahmaud Arbery attacked Travis McMichael, grabbed his gun, and started jacking him in the head. Some people claim Arbery was acting in self-defense when he did this. They say Arbery had no obligation to just keep on moving down the road and away from the McMichaels and that because of the McMichaels’ prior actions an attack on Travis was warranted.

I disagree. I don’t think Arbery was legally entitled to strike Travis McMichael and try to wrest his gun away from him. I think Travis McMichael had a legal right to defend himself against Arbery once Arbery initiated his assault on McMichael.

My point was that it is a case, like all the cases, that need to go to trial if enough probable cause is shown to a grand jury, and then a fair trail heard, and a judgement given. It is easy to solve this problem. IF you commit any crime, you will be tried and will be proven innocent, guilty, or charges dropped. Then, if found guilty, you will serve your punishment as directed by the court. Period. All of the protestors, looters, rioters, etc., know that there are no consequences to their behavior, so they do whatever the hell that they want...that has to change....JUSTICE and MERCY, saith the Lord.
