Dude, he's been woke. Rock was woke before the term even existed. His comedy skewers blacks who game the system and play the victim.
One of my favorite Rock comedy lines is the nightclub. There's the black people who'll dress up and be respectful, and then there's the N-word blacks who'll try to tear it all down. Rock is truly a throwback to what blacks were, prior to getting destroyed by LBJ's Great Society programs.
My favorite Chris Rock moment is when he is telling his mixed audience about the differences between black people and niggers. Yeah, I said it.
He said black folks are ordinary decent people. Niggers are those who commit crimes. I quote:
“Niggers want to break into your house and take your stuff and steal your money. You want to save your money? Put it in your books! Because niggers don’t read! Go up to a nigger and say, here’s a book. They’ll go like Dracula, aghhhh, get that book away from me!!”
Now flash back to 1962. My Dad was stationed in Korea, he was a brigade commander. He told me his best staff officer happened to be black and then told me never to judge someone by the color of his skin. This black captain told my Dad the exact same thing that there are two kinds of blacks.
I hold to this day Dr. King’s lesson about judging a man by the content of his character, alone.
I don’t know, maybe Chris Rock feels he has to go with the flow to go on working in show business.
An interesting article I found...
Chris Rock Stopped Playing Colleges Because Theyre Too Conservative
(He doesn’t mean ‘Conservative’ like we think of Conservative)
