Been warning people here about that for years.
Might not be the cakewalk everyone thinks.
FWIW, there is apparently an Antifa cell in Bedford PA and they were involved in the York PA riot.
May not really be the “troll” everyone thought it was.
Some aggressive comments being posted on FB and Twitter.
Me too. I'd always wanted to go to Gettysburg. My now ex-husband wouldn't stop on our way back home from Myrtle Beach back in 1971, and I vowed I'd get back there one day. I did, and without him, in 1981 or 1982. I was living in Auburn, NY at the time. I had no idea how long it would take me to get there, so when the evening came, I stopped for the night somewhere in Pa., as I didn't want to get to Gettysburg in the dark. I had no reservations. I knew nothing of the battle. When I got into Gettysburg, I stopped at a small motel. Luckily, a couple were checking out right ahead of me, so I was able to get a room. That's when I realized that I was there on the anniversary of the battle. I can't tell you how many times I've been there over the years, but you could always find some new spot on the battlefield that you hadn't seen or noticed the last time you were there. I loved going there in the winter because there was rarely snow, and you had the battlefield to yourself. I spent many of my vacations staying with a friend who lived in Clinton, Md., and I would go to the National Archives every day to do research. I do miss those days, but my traveling is just about over. About the only place I go now is to visit my two sons.
I'd love to hear about your paranormal experience
Sure, I’ve heard all that stuff too. It’s just a kooky coincidence immediately after the new party that advocated for abolition got their candidate elected the south chose that moment to secede.
Yep, we just don’t want all that mess down here.
Oh, I have my two red lines.
And Mrs. L,TOWM knows what those two are and is in full agreement with them.
If things got to that point, me and spotter would have already been finding work months or weeks before...
And of course, anyone knocking down my door, throwing flashbangs at my cat, and waving guns around in my entryway at o dark 30 is probably gonna more than the two body bags for just me & the wife.
But hey, taking out some trash while you can still do some man’s work -— let me put it to you this way... you are thinking Bunker Hill or Antietam. We aren’t there yet. Think Bleeding Kansas and John Brown. That’s where we are right now. And if it gets to Bunker Hill and I’m still around, look for a dude packing a mini-14 and a scoped Weatherby. ;-)
Not to mention the inconvenient transcripts of the State Legislature’s secession debates in the Southern States. Yes taxes were mentioned. Not as much as the desire to ‘keep our peculiar institution’ or flat out stating that “no n-——— will ever be freed here!” and the economic ruin that actually paying people for their work would cause was mentioned though...
The only thing I can say is that the Gburg police and park police were notified and are aware.
No idea if its real or not but plenty of patriots intend to go and spend the day, just in case.
At worst, they support the local economy.
Awesome.
We need eyes on and SITREPS coming back - even it doesn’t go south, it’s a good opportunity to network.
Carry on...
One my friends just posted
“The numbers are looking overwhelming for Gettysburg July 4th.”
For the last 19 years, we went to the Gettysburg Bike Week which was always great but is cancelled this year due to “Covid” hoax.
Many who made plans and reservations long ago are still going, just for the sake of the gathering together and to support local businesses who rely on this event to make or break their banks every year.
Too bad Antipants didn’t schedule it for the weekend after the 4th.
They’d have had a lot of company.
“Does playing agitprop pay well?”
Really? My Lord man are you not paying attention? Now they want to tear down crosses and break out stained glass windows.
When is enough enough? When you are marched off to the diversity camps?
Now I know why the Jews were genocided in Germany. They let it happen.
I know the ending of all this, so I am not inclined to the violent response you are agitating for.
I know the ending of all this,
Which is?
I used to go every year to the Civil War Relic and Book show and sale that they held at the high school. I also used to go to the sidewalk antique show every year too. It was great being able to walk up and down the streets of Gettysburg and check out all the tables and items that dealers had for sale. I always enjoyed eating at the tavern in The Dobbin House. They had a great open-faced tuna melt dish I enjoyed, and their burgers weren’t bad either. Loved the atmosphere. For breakfast and sometimes supper, I’d go to the Lincoln Diner. There used to be a family restaurant on the same road as the entrance to the Visitor’s Center, but on the other side of the road. They served a breakfast buffet. I can’t remember what the name of it was. Not sure if it was a Stuckey’s, or if the name had changed to something else.
Amid this growing lawlessness, the Body of Christ (term used like saying ‘the student body’ of those attending a particular school) is gathered to Jesus In the first Heaven (the atmosphere) and thus removed from the wrath of God poured out on those who have rejected His Grace. ... I am not going to be here for the total collapse and rise of the lawless one and those he manipulates.
Timing, timing. Trump let himself be put in a box by China and the election. It’s his job to get out of the trap. Biden might win in November and then God help us. The US will be done.
What box? Explain please.
What if thousands of citizens visit Gettysburg that day with coolers full of water balloons? !
