Away it goes. To recap:
At 3 p.m., Public Safety Commissioner John Harrington told reporters the State Patrol knew a group planned to tear down the Columbus statue.
At 5 p.m., it happened. State Patrol gave no resistance despite advance warning.
By 7 p.m., the statue is gone.

I don’t recognize this country anymore. Nobody is stopping these scum so they will never stop. How far will they go. Nothing is sacred in America anymore and more than half the population is beyond redemption.

I want Minnesota to burn...
Please explain.
She is the one who licked off this frenzy of history erasing in SC when she was Gov.
PS your tag line needs fixing.
That’s right, knuckle under to the radicals who want to destroy the country, that will save your worthless, spineless hide. They’ll be coming for the mayor and governor soon.
I am very fearful about the future....but there is nothing I can do.....my children will suffer and have lesser lives and my grandchildren even lesser....they won’t listen to me....
Winston Smith would be proud. A large block of the globalist left is now following in his professional footsteps.
They don’t need a Columbus statue in New Mogadishu.
Why are they even there? Let Minnesota collapse into anarchy.
Theyll put up. Stalin
That seems to be the consensus. It did take centuries for them to completely convert.
There's no real way to make that actionable without a lot of legal groundwork from Congress so it's not going anywhere.
As far as MN goes, there's been talk locally about taking down the statue of Columbus and replacing it with a statue of Prince for a while now. So that's probably what will happen.
That Capitol Hill takeover in Seattle? There is talk of giving it back to the Indians!

Lovely. Screw the guy who discovered America - let’s celebrate some dead, druggie musician.
Then freeze in the dark...
Thanks, I am trying to figure out how to fix it.
I intend to defend the Republic to the best of my ability.
Me too, but exactly how to do that it is a lot clearer when the threat is external.
For example a military or economic threat from Russia, China, Islam, etc... There is denial and lack of preparedness, but there comes a point where the threat becomes obvious.
The political and ideological movements that attack via our education, media and political institutions, using propaganda and brainwashing to infect our young with Marxist and Globalist ideas - that is a completely different fight.
Our Republic was founded around the concept of individual Liberty - freedom of thought - limited government. That is both our strength and our vulnerability.
It makes us vulnerable because if we value freedom, we cant force our children to think like we do - we even have to defend their freedom to disagree with us! And sadly, that is exactly what I see happening.
Our childrens heads are filled with Marxist ideas of social justice, wealth redistribution, equality, diversity - they dont seem to share the Founders passion for freedom and their suspicion of an overreaching government.
The younger generations seem to agree that the Founders were a bunch of white racists, and that statues need to be knocked down, police are all racist and need to be defunded, Americans do not deserve to have a higher standard of living privilege than the rest of the world - or superior military and economic might for that matter.
The Founders believed that individual Liberty was the cornerstone of our self-governing Republic. Power and authority must flow from individuals - not a central government. All of our social goals and aspirations - fairness, income equality, compassion, generosity - they must all flow from free individuals - not from government mandates. As soon as government is empowered to mandate fairness and regulate compassion and income equality, then that government has become too powerful and unaccountable, and tyranny and corruption abound.
But the youth do not share that core belief. Or if they do, it seems they share it less and less with each generation.
In my conversations with them, I really get the feeling they think I am the one thats wrong. They seem to think Liberty is over-rated. Liberty is just a right wing talking point. They believe social justice is the core priority - and if more government authority is needed to enforce it, then so be it. Even at the expense of individual Liberty.
They seem to think Liberty and Limited Government are just excuses that rich white males use to justify taking more than their fair share.
You can lead a horse to water, but you cant make them drink.
