Unless full anarchy does descend in the next few months this is temporary.
Most of the newly purchased firearms will soon be locked up in a manner that makes them useless if needed.
The buyers will run out of motive to practice, many will decide they do not need a firearm after all, and sell them, or even turn them in to the police.
After each buying frenzy there is a major lull, many shops and some manufacturers will go broke during that lull.
Right now many shops are unable to make the sale unless the buyer has a CCW, as the NICS system is so overwhelmed.
This accomplishes what the anti’s desire, unless you already have a CCW “Permit” you are a second class citizen and will have difficulty legally obtaining a firearm at retail.
Thus we get the “Gun show loophole” fallacy.
