I need someone in the media to pick this story up. I have done as much digging as I can do, but I am getting dead ends and literal roadblocks that someone with press credentials would not get. If this is true, this story would be national news. Virginia Governor Ralph Northam issued a stay at home order for Virginians where only necessary travel was allowed. Dare county in North Carolina is under a "residents only" ban where only residents who have proof of North Carolinian residence are being admitted onto the Outer Banks and Roanoke Island. Ralph Northam is the Governor of Virginia. He and his family are not North Carolina residents. Numerous residents of Dare County are reporting that Virginia Governor Ralph Northam is illegally flying into First Flight Airport at the Wright Memorial Airport in Kill Devil Hills on a private airplane, where he then has drivers meet himself and his family to go to their vacation home at 90 Ballast Point Road in the Pirates Cove neighborhood of Manteo.
Press, reporting on Northam’s wrong doing. I want some of what you’re smoking.
Tucker Carlson would report this if it is true.
Can anyone access his private plane flight logs? Aren’t those public record?

His opponent in the upcoming VA race says that the claim is “unfounded and untrue.”

I appreciate the comments and since his opponent has and is investigating that’s good for me.
We saw the NY mayor visit his gym and others do the ‘rules don’t apply to me’ so it seemed like a possibility. But perhaps it was staff or other family members visiting his vacation home.

Northam cannot run for reelection. He has no opponent in the upcoming election.
True. Northam is term limited so he is not running for re-election but Sen. Amanda Chase is running for Governor of Virginia.
I doubt the story is true, but I would love to at least see someone ASK him at the press conference if it is true. He can deny it if he wants. Then the press would be obligated to at least spend 5 minutes looking into the story, and we’d know.
Biggest problems I have with the story. First, I can’t find evidence he actually owns the property, and his disclosure forms suggest he does not.
Second, if he was flying out, a lot of people would know about it, more than I think would be quiet.
Third, if he is flying in, and then getting driven, I don’t see why there would be a virginia vanity plate on the car in North Carolina. Did they drive his car down there and leave it for him when he flew in? Makes little sense.
Lastly — frankly, I don’t care. We should all still be allowed to move around the country. You know that airlines are not shut down, and you are legally allowed to go to Dulles and fly anywhere you want in the united states. Once there, you can get yourself a hotel.
The idea that a person can’t go to another property they own seems way out of whack, and I’ve seen no indication that Virginia has any such requirement — just suggestions.
