All great, I'm inclined to agree, but if there's an outbreak in a large city the Left and their allies in the media will claim "Trump botched the recovery, we need new leadership to lead us out of this mess he created".
On the other hand their candidate is so weak it's hard to imagine how he could be elected for the office of dog catcher, let alone high office.

Two things are certain when we open up while the virus is still in it’s exponential active growth phase with less than 70% penetration rate the cases will explode again that’s just math it’s not even hard math. And two there is no iron clad rule that the dems have to chose sleepy Joe the delegates can vote for whomever they chose the party makes the rules for their own delegates. The candidate is only Joe to keep Bernie out they party will put Cuomo in at the last minute bank on it. He is being groomed and since N.Y.state is not going to follow the early opening up he will be in perfect position to say see what happens as the cases explode all over the high density areas of the nation as soon as people congregate. This bug is airborne has a demonstrated R0 of above 4 and not a single human has immunity of course the numbers will skyrocket again. We haven’t even hit the middle point of a peak yet in any location that has exponential growth. Again it’s 5th grade mathematics people.
One good point of view is the last thing we want to happen is for Trump to re-open to have to close because the virus ramps up. So it IS important to be cautious but let’s indeed re-open soon.
The media is trying to make it either or. There is no reason it cannot be a staged restart. Getting your nails done for example might be one of the last services that re-opens. Getting some coffee sooner than later.
My advice to Trump would be to put the onus on the states. He can advise on re-opening and re-open federal institutions and anything under his control. But if Cuomo wants to wait on New York, let Cuomo own that.

I don’t think the feds are standing in the way as much as giving out information, techniques and methods to open up as safely and effectively as possible.
Right now, both the west and east coast states are forming blocs to reopen in a coordinated way. But likely, not every business will be reopening at the same time. Then there will be close monitoring of supplies and logistics flowing to and within states, as well as closely tracking any “second wave” of the disease.
Not if, but when. There will be more clusters, but chances are we've learned enough, and there will be enough tests available to prevent it from skyrocketing out of control like in NYC.
"Opening up" the economy isn't a panacea -- people will still be very cautious, for a long time.
Just as sly would be for them to take advantage of Sleepy Joe's momentum by putting in as Veep candidate their real choice for President. Cuomo his the most talked about, but Joe says it'll be a woman. Maybe Cuomo will start cross-dressing, that should be qualification enough....
