Republicans have NO power in NY State. They held on to the State Senate by a slim margin a decade ago, so they could prevent the absolute worst leftist corruption - but that has been swept away. Leftist Democrats literally control everything. NY is a one-party, ideologue, SJW state, run by top party apparatchiks skimming from Wall Street.
The silver lining of Coronavirus is that, with luck, it will bankrupt this progressive place and force some real change.
sadly as in many states, the one large rat cabal in NYC rules the roost.....it doesn’t matter if most of upstate votes otherwise....
