Agreed. And I think within a couple weeks we either have or know when we'll have - which amounts to the same thing for planning to get back - available on a mass scale:

1. effective treatment, likely hclq and its friends (hey, perhaps even apple flavored horse dewormer)
2. fast effective testing
3. perhaps more importantly, fast effective antibody testing

The vaccine is a nice to have but has nothing to do with the immediate medical crisis, if it really even IS a crisis, and the economic crisis, which definitely really IS a crisis and cold become a complete catastrophe.

This shutdown is proving too effective in many places in slowing the burn through of the virus and will result in an even longer time to achieve burn through, widely geographically dispersed.

We can’t seem to decide if we want to snuff the virus out or let it burn through. We’re engaged in efforts to do both and will succeed at neither while killing the economy.
