I hate to say this to partisans on both sides aisle, but no one thought something bad like this pandemic was possible. A lot of leaders all over the world said a lot of stuff, that in retrospect, was unwise. What are we going to do? Hang them?

Sure the political leftbraisted Trumpmas a racist for stopping travel from China which makes them look like idiots, but Trump was probably a bit too slow to jump on this problem as well. Heck, mostbworld leaders were too slow in retrospect.

Still, The real culprit is China. They didn’t follow protocol. Mechanisms were in place to avoid this situation, and they lied.

I think everyone really should forgive left and right leaning politicians here and in Europe. Seriously.....China caused this mess and it is they who deserve our ire.

I am not disagreeing with you on China must pay. BUT.

Right now, we are seeing SOME (and mostly all Democrat) politicians and their media enablers STILL play their politics-as-usual game. Instead of united behind president Trump and his task force to face this pandemic together.

And, THAT, my FRiend, is why I (not speaking for anybody else) will NOT forget and forgive.

Utter BS!

President Trump made the difficult decisions and took decisive actions from the beginning to protect Americans from the Chinese coronavirus. To better understand these actions, here is a timeline of President Trump's response to the coronavirus via Twitter thread:

January 6: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued a travel notice for Wuhan, China due to the spreading coronavirus.

January 7: The CDC established a coronavirus incident management system to better share and respond to information about the virus.

January 11: The CDC issued a Level I travel health notice for Wuhan, China.

January 17: The CDC began implementing public health entry screening at the 3 U.S. airports that received the most travelers from Wuhan – San Francisco, New York JFK, and Los Angeles.

January 20: Dr Fauci announces the National Institutes of Health is already working on the development of a vaccine for the coronavirus.

January 21: The CDC activated its emergency operations center to provide ongoing support to the coronavirus response.

January 23: The CDC sought a “special emergency authorization” from the FDA to allow states to use its newly developed coronavirus test.

January 27: The CDC issued a level III travel health notice urging Americans to avoid all nonessential travel to China due to the coronavirus.

January 29: The White House announced the formation of the Coronavirus Task Force to help monitor and contain the spread of the virus and provide updates to the President.

January 31: The Trump Administration:

- Declared the coronavirus a public health emergency.
- Announced Chinese travel restrictions.
- Suspended entry into the United States for foreign nationals who pose a risk of transmitting the coronavirus.
- The Department of Homeland Security took critical steps to funnel all flights from China into just 7 domestic U.S. airports.

When President Trump was announcing his task force, Nancy was passing out Impeachment Pens.

Heck, most world leaders were too slow in retrospect.

China began its lock down at 30 deaths.

A less charitable person than I would suspect they knew exactly how dangerous this virus deliberately engineered to have Ebola and HIV surface proteins could be, right out of the gate...

Agree. First stone throwers, take note. (Except sub “mistake” for “sin”.)

Secy of State Mike Pompeo Says He Has List; American Pols Named as 'Friendly' by Communist China
pjmedia.com ^ | 2/9/2020 | MEGAN FOX In a shocking speech to the National Governors Association, Secretary Mike Pompeo revealed that he is in possession of a list of American governors who have been listed as "friendly" by Chinese Communist infiltrators.

Pompeo said he had received an earlier invitation from a former governor to attend a networking event that promised great "deal-making" opportunities with the Chinese government.

This networking event was run by "The Chinese People's Association for Friendship in Foreign Countries," said Pompeo.

But what the US participants might not have known is that "the group is the public face of the Chinese Communist party's official foreign influence agency, the United Front Work Department." Pompeo knew of this connection from his former position at the CIA.

He questioned the governors on how many of them knew that this group was a Communist-front group.

"What if you made a "new friend" at the China networking event?" he asked. "What if your 'new friend' offered to invest big money in your state, perhaps in your pension fund, an industry sensitive to our national security?"

And then Pompeo dropped a huge bomb on the crowd.

"These aren't hypotheticals. Last year a Chinese government-backed think tank in Beijing produced a report that assessed all fifty of America's governors on their attitudes toward China. They labeled each pol friendly, hardline, or ambiguous."

Pompeo continued, "I'll let you decide where you think you belong, someone in China already has. Many of you, indeed, in that report, are referenced by name."

Here's what I don't understand.

What are the mechanisms in place to avoid this situation?

Is there some sort of international law, perhaps through the U.N., that require reporting of a wide virus or some such to the rest of the world?

I keep hearing that China didn't report and I'm not sure, besides good human courtesy, there's any rule that says they have to.
