File a complaint with the FCC. NPR is the network, the local NPR AFFILIATE is a local station that takes the network feed. They have to fund raise to stay in existence. Don’t donate and encourage others not to as well. File letters of objection to the FCC when their license comes up for renewal.

BTW, the State of Washington must file their FCC renewal paperwork by the end of October 2021.

There is nothing a radio station fears more than letters to the FCC stating objections to renewal of a broadcast license.

Most of the time FReepers want to see the licenses of broadcast networks pulled. They can’t because networks aren’t license holders. BUT...local radio stations are and you can wreak havoc with a station if they have to respond to complaints they are not “broadcasting in the public good.”

Also send letters of objection to the station directly and state in the letter that you wish the letter to be placed in the station’s “public file.” This is a file required to be maintained by the station and could be used to deny a station a license renewal.

If NPR is broadcasting the task force press conference and the station chooses not to take the feed, it’s on the local affiliate.
