We once responded to an Asian guy who was having difficulty breathing who was coughing. He kept motioning for me to get closer. Then he coughed the words Tee Bee right in my face. I never got it but I used the episode as an example to all of my crews to wear both a mask and goggles around coughing patients with communicable diseases whenever possible.
