How do you stand it, Miss Didi?
I have lived for most of my life in California. I finally saw a way out 10 years ago, and have been living in Idaho since then.
I didn’t realize how much I hated my vote being absolutely worthless, until I left. I also had simply grown numb to being surrounded by Liberal crazies and had to re-awaken to the fact that not all of America is like that.
Like New York State, California is ruled politically by its population center(s), so the State, itself, is not aligned substantially with its government. Yet these States and their politics have large national sway over other, saner, States.
I am sorry if it offends you, but “flyover country” doesn’t like it.
As I said, 9-11 made made me feel more united with New York than ever, since, and even before.
America is certainly strongest as a team, all pulling together. But, where New York is pulling, I don’t want to go. New York politics enjoys its national power and doesn’t care, so neither do I.
