You will probably get your wish. The Democrats know very well that they haven't got anyone who can hold a candle to President Trump. The real battle is going to be over the House and Senate. If Bernie wins the nomination a large portion of the the non-commie branch of the Democrat Party won't bother to vote. If the convention is brokered and Bernie doesn't get the nomination a large percentage of his followers won't bother to vote. But if Bernie is on the ballot his followers will still show up to vote and most of their Congressional and local picks will still be for Democrats. So look for the Democrats to punt on the Presidential race and encourage Bernie to run 3rd party.
A couple weeks ago every Establishment Democrat was fluffing Bloomberg nonstop. Now he needs to pull the ripcord according to them. LOL!

Bloomberg is not going to just pack up and go home before Super Tuesday.
Biden will probably win in South Carolina, but his victory there will be short-lived with Super Tuesday arriving three days after that. Biden is faring poorly in most of the races in those states, and he doesn’t even have any advertising there.

When even Dems couldn’t ignore Biden’s faltering, they swerved the wheel into Bloomberg’s Lane and had a head on collision with the debate. Now they’re back to hoping Joe will tow them to the nearest shop and run Bernie off the road.

There will be so much flak over Hunter & Burisma that Joe will get caught in the collateral damage.
Now-retired tennis player Goran Ivanisevic kept coming in second at Wimbledon--he lost to Andre Agassi and twice to Pete Sampras--before finally winning in 2001. He will never be regarded as the best tennis player of his generation but he got that one win.
So maybe if Biden gets just one primary win he can retire with dignity. Or at least a smidgen.
