Nine years old. That's 4th grade. In my world, that was Mrs. Bentley (best teacher ever) and Scholastic Book orders. Pet horses, chickens and dogs. 4-H and raising my hamsters.

Sex or anything related to it was nowhere in sight. Then again, the culture wasn't turbo sexualized as it is now, in every form - movies, music, social media (there was none), barriers being me and things I shouldn't know at that age being knocked down. Sex in some form everywhere you look.
