Here is the dilemma for Democrats. Bernie cannot win. Yet no other Democratic candidate has even a remote chance of defeating Trump without the enthusiastic support by Sanders and his ardent supporters. If Sanders is denied, there will be no unity. The DNC is not stupid. They realize that winning the Presidency in 2020 is unlikely. There main effort will be to prevent a Congressional debacle.

I agree. And their BEST option to prevent half of their base from sitting out the election is to NOT try to sabotage Bernie, should he be the apparent nominee. Likewise anyone else. Just let the process play out, and if the base thinks it was fair, they’ll go to the polls to try to rid the country of its Fascist dictator (as they see President Trump).
Anything else is suicide.

that makes sense ... lose with bernie, but MAYBE keep the House ... whereas a brokered convention that steals bernie’s plurality and hands the crown to no-personality Farmer Mike would fracture the brittle coalition of the Dem party, probably permanently ...
i spoke with Senator Cory Gardner’s campaign manager last night and he swore that there was no way the Dem party was insane enough to steal Bernie’s plurality via the super-delegates for the above reason ...
