Did somebody say Iowa?.....they’re still counting.......

LAUGH BREAK——DNC, Iowa Democrats point fingers as contract for caucus app shows DNC’s role
WPTZ via MSN ^ | 2/15/20
FR Posted on 2/15/2020, 6:49:56 AM by Libloather

The contract between the Iowa Democratic Party and the company tasked with designing the app that sits at the center of the caucus meltdown on the opening night of the presidential nominating process underscores how deeply involved the Democratic National Committee was in ensuring the online tool was secure.

The app eventually failed on Feb. 3, the night of the caucuses, with a glitch making it impossible for many precinct chairs to use the tool that was meant to calculate and submit data from Iowa’s more than 1,700 caucus sites.

The app’s failure — combined with an overwhelmed call center and poor communication with the numerous presidential campaigns competing in Iowa — plunged the caucus process into chaos nearly two weeks ago. No results were reported that night and, even when they were, mistakes in the counting has further delayed the certification of the results.

The Democratic National Committee is not a party to the contract, which was signed by the Iowa Democratic Party and the app maker Shadow and was provided to CNN by a Democratic source with access to the contract, but a section of the contract does outline how the app makers must “work with the DNC Services Corporation/Democratic National Committee (’DNC’) on an on-going basis as Consultant develops the software.”

The contract outlines how the national committee would be involved in multiple aspects of securing the app, including Shadow providing “continual access to review the Consultant’s system configurations, security and system logs, system designs, data flow designs, security controls (preventative and detective), and operational plans for how the Consultant will use and run the Software for informational dissemination, pre-registration, tabulation, and reporting throughout the caucus process.”

The DNC frantically sought to distance itself from the Iowa debacle as a Democratic source provided CNN-News with access to the contract.

The Iowa Caucus contract reveals that while (A) The Iowa Democratic Party and (B) the app maker Shadow were signatories to the contract, the deal specifies that the app makers must "work with the DNC Services Corporation/Democratic National Committee ('DNC') on an on-going basis as Consultant develops the software."

The contract outlines:
<><> how the DNC would be intimately involved in multiple aspects of securing the app,
<><> including Shadow providing "continual DNC access" to review the Consultant's system configurations,
<><> DNC would review security and system logs, system designs, data flow designs,
<><> DNC would monitor security controls (preventative and detective),
<><> DNC would oversee operational plans for how the Consultant will use and run the Software
<><> DNC would be in on informational dissemination, pre-registration, tabulation, and,
<><> DNC would field reports throughout the caucus process.

LAST FALL, Iowa’s Republican and Democratic Parties, and web development vendors, examined the app the Iowa Democratic Party commissioned to tabulate and report caucus results, partnering with (cough) Harvard’s “Defending Digital Democracy Project” to develop strategies and systems to protect results and deal with misinformation.

The Harvard group included "party campaign experts” Robby Mook and Matt Rhodes, and experts in (A) cybersecurity, (B) national security, (C) technology and (D) election administration. Fortuitously, the group simulated different ways “things could go wrong” on caucus night. (cue maniacal laugh machine here).

Mook is 2016 campaign manager for Hillary Clinton, and Rhodes is Mitt Romney’s 2012 campaign manager.

Out of sheer public-spiritededness, these two helped develop a video to alert campaigns to warning signs of hacking and misinformation.

THAT WAS THEN-—THIS IS NOW-—REVISIONIST IOWA DEMOCRATS DEFEND THE DEBACLE

“The app the Iowa Democratic Party commissioned to tabulate and report results from the caucuses on Monday was not properly tested, people briefed on the app by the state party told newspapers."

" It was quickly put together in just the past two months, said the people, who asked to remain anonymous because they were not authorized to speak publicly.”

Iowa state Democrats decided to use the app only after another proposal for reporting votes — which entailed caucus participants phoning in their votes — was abandoned, on the advice of DNC officials, according to David Jefferson, a board member of Verified Voting, a nonpartisan election integrity organization.

Rule of opposites—whoever says they are working on “election integrity” is working to rig the election.

Maybe it’s deliberate. They are buying as much wiggle room as they can. Each one of these ‘caucuses’ is a dress rehearsal for the next Presidential election. Just watch!

Please, G-d, may You in Your great wisdom and benevolence create as much confusion and disarray among the Democrat Party of Nevada and its counting of the votes in their caucuses this coming Sabbath Day, and have that confusion and disarray lead to the further shunning of the Democrat Party of the United States by American voters, for the Democrat Party is Your avowed enemy, and we surely need Your help to defeat it and the adoption of policies that create and honor evil, and also decrease faith in You.

“Rule of opposites—whoever says they are working on “election integrity” is working to rig the election.”

This Rule of Opposites of yours absolutely applies to ALL Leftists, whatever flag they are flying or ideology they pretend to represent. I first noticed this with the Russian Leftists (A.K.A. Communists) when I was in college in the late ‘70s and early ‘80s; when bored with my studying in the library, I would wander the stacks to find something interesting to read, and early on I stumbled on the English language version of Pravda. For anyone that remembers, “pravda” literally means “truth;” but anyone familiar with the publication knew/knows that it meant the exact opposite. They (because it was a Soviet government publication) would always accuse the US and the West (particularly the English or Israelis) of doing EXACTLY what they, themselves were doing.

Fast forward to the last few years...and the Dems (US Leftists) do EXACTLY the same thing as the Soviets did.

FWIW, I have stolen an idea first presented to me by one of my father’s cousins in 1994, and made my own rule: “Same Wall, Different Wallpaper.” This came up in the context of that cousin (and his father) getting out of Ukraine, after the whole family (except my grandfather and an older brother of his) being trapped in the USSR for the prior 75 years. When I first met him, I asked him how it was to be done with Communism and to have different leadership. His response was, “Same wall, different wallpaper.” IOW, it doesn’t matter what they call themselves, how they dress, what flag they fly...they are all the same. I have broadened that from those merely running the USSR or Russia to ALL Leftists. Some call themselves “Democratic Socialist,” some “Socialists,” some “Communists,” some “Progressives,” and some “National Socialists” (yes, THOSE guys). They are ALL Leftists, which means that they want to rule over everyone else (of course denying individual rights, because there’s no way better to imprison or kill your opponents than to accuse them of crimes against either the People or the State), and that whatever they say is calculated to obtain, maintain or grow their power. Truth is entirely optional - and is used only if it serves their interests. But the party in power controls everything - whether by direct seizure of the assets (Communists), by stifling taxes and regulations (all Socialists and Progressives) or by dictates regarding hiring and production (the Nazis). They are all the same WRT their goals, and they differ ONLY in the means that they think will work best to accomplish those goals, and in WHO will be on top. It (Leftism) is simply the single most evil and pernicious ideology to ever victimize Mankind, making the sick cults of the Caananites, Babylonians and others in the Bible look like child’s play in comparison.

I read about the “rule of opposites” in a book a while back, and I found it a fascinating exercise to take _any_ mass media article, “news” report or commentary and imagine the _exact_ opposite of what it said.

It is amazing how often the _exact_ _opposite_ of the article is close to the truth.

This makes sense when you think about normal people living normal lives.

Normal people do not brag about how virtuous they are, they just quietly do good deeds.

Normal people do not order other people around, they focus on their own lives.

Normal people do not attack others—if they don’t like someone they just avoid them as much as possible.

etc etc etc

So, claims of virtue, demands that “something be done”, and attacks on others are the sign of the sociopath—a dangerous evil person.

That is most politicians, most mass media types, most “experts”, most heads of large institutions of all kinds.

Thus it has always been, and thus it always will be....

Jeez louise, it’ll likely be less than 20,000 people showing up statewide.

For cryin’ out loud, just use a paper and pencil.

Unless an honest count isn’t what’s wanted..
