Threat Matrix 2020
Established in 2001 after the 9/11 attack on America, this thread is designed to identify threats to America, both internal and external, and evaluate the probability of those threats occurring and the extent of potential damage. Discussions may stray into tinfoil territory, but the goal is to peel back and confirm information so we can make founded decisions and actions.
Thanks, did you hear Trump’s response? He said not only he hadn’t heard about it but he’d have to read it to have an opinion. Reporter jackalmaggot was trying to pin him down of course.
no but like i said may have been a trial balloon of sorts
Wuhan Virus -
Many of the various categories I’m following have now integrated effects from this pandemic, but I’m keeping them separate for clarity. Check numerous FR threads for more specific corona virus threads. We are entering uncharted waters as far as this pandemic goes. . . . . .
British PM Johnson was released from ICU yesterday and has good prognosis for recovery.
There have been a number of meat processing and packing plants temporarily shut down due to corona virus. For example Tyson Foods was suspended operations at a pork processing plant in Columbus Junction, Iowa this week, after more than 24 employees there tested positive for corona virus. Thursday, Smithfield Foods announced that it will close its processing plant near Sioux Falls, South Dakota, after state officials said more than 80 employees there had tested positive for corona virus. JBS USA, another major meat processor, has stopped operations at its beef plant in Souderton, Pennsylvania due to sick employees there. The plant plans to reopen April 16, after two weeks. These shut downs represent a small but apparently growing percentage of overall meat production, and underscore an ongoing risk to the food supply.
Iran -
Iran’s Parliament Wednesday threatened European countries that it will resume uranium enrichment without international controls if Europe fails to follow the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the agreement that the US withdrew from. The underlying reason for the threat is that Europe must guarantee Iran’s access to its exports and oil revenues. Embargoes and current oil price wars have crippled the Iranian economy - i’ve been pointing this out a lot, and public unrest and out right rioting has gained roots in the country.
N Korea -
Communist party regular conference scheduled to go in-spite of potential corona virus issues.
CW2/Civil Unrest -
More and more protests against the continued shelter at home decrees are appearing on the scene. These range from churches planning services (even banned ‘drive in’ style ones), opposition to access to streams for fishing seasons, protesting state governors’ corona virus updates. Uncertainty over jobs, normal supplies and ever increasing soft police state measures are wearing people’s patience thin. Add to it an increasing distrust of the so called models that have grossly over predicted infection and death rates, well, it could get spicy.
San Francisco supervisors have passed a resolution condemning gun ownership and the recent sales spike caused by the corona virus. Containing all the typical progressive/Marxist bile it is no surprise. But it is another cog in the wheels to tear down the constitution one piece at a time.
What do you think was the purpose of what they are doing now?
Actually, they had a number of purposes or goals including but not limited to:
1. Turn public opinion against President Trump.
2. Ruin the economy.
3. See how easy or difficult it was to panic thee public.
4. Condition the public to being controlled.
5. Condition the public to obey Governmental directives without questioning.
6. Learn how to manipulate the public into doing their bidding. And ratting out their neighbors who don't.
Yes. IMHO the chain of coincidences is telling.
Globalists expected Hillary as president, didn't happen
Expected the 'russia gate' to force Trump to resign - didn't happen
Expected Ukraine-gate impeachment to force trump out - Didn't happen
Now global forces are ratcheting up the bid. Tinfoil/conspiracy? I have difficulty breaking out of my normalcy bias on this because I can't imagine a group willing to destroy not only global economy in order to destroy the US economy to turn the country away from Trump and use to thwart his re-election. One thing is certain, the never let a crisis go to waste crowd are showing their true totalitarianism colors - if Americans are wise enough to see it.
We in for a rough ride, FRiend. As with every thing else that have done, it will be two steps forward and a pause and then forward again.
Wuhan Virus -
Significant developments on my radar . . . .
On Thursday, a fellow at Stanford’s Hoover Institute released the theory suggesting that what was perceived to be a nasty and early flu season in California was actually COVID-19 spreading undetected throughout the community.
ABC7 News sat down with Dr. Alok Patel for more insight on what herd immunity means and what it would take for it to happen in California and the United States. Interesting theory if true.
Texas Governor plans to sign an executive order next week to reopen the state’s economy. This is sending shock waves thru the health care tyrants network and could be the path forward out of this nightmare these medical experts have helped to create.
The extent of the economic damage is seen in the airline industry which is planning to reduce flights this summer by as much as 90%.
Iraq -
Patriot missile launchers and two other short-range systems are now in place at al-Asad Air Base according to US officials. Additionally, due to ongoing threats from iranian sponsored miitias, soldiers from the 1st Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division, remain in Iraq.
Israel-
Yesterday IDF released a video of the head of the Syrian Armed Forces 1st Corps, Luau Ali Ahmad Assad. He’s visiting Hezbollah positions in Syria. Reminds me of the strong caution NOT to salute ones superior officers in the field . . . .
Syria -
Civil war at a level of status quo, largely due to the corona virus affecting all sides. Civilians caught in the crossfire in Idlib are the hardest hurt since Syria regularly targets medical facilities.
India/Pakistan -
A lot of rhetoric flying following Indias artillery/rocket attacks on the Pakistani side of the LOC. India was reportedly targeting terrorist sites. Pakistan claims civilian casualties.
CW2 -
Across America, local and state governments are imposing more and more tyrannical rules against Christians desiring to worship, particularly this Sunday (Resurrection Sunday). Many have developed the innovative drive in services where attendees remain in their cars and listen to the message on their radio - allowing the maintenance of social separation while still maintaining a degree of community. This week there have been numerous reports of heavy handed responses AGAINST such services. People arent too happy about their infringement of rights and are pushing back. Threats by Kentuckys governor to record drive in attendees vehicle license plates, then send medical personnel to notify them of a MANDATORY 14 day quarantine - no movement out of the house/apartment. Folks, drive in worship services are orders of magnitude SAFER than going to the grocery store AFA corona virus transmission goes, so the only reason is petty tyranny and power by these officials directed against Christians. Push back - even militant push back is expected in many places tomorrow. Ground zero for one such push back is a planned rally/service in Boise Idaho. Could get ugly.
The past week there was (and continues to be) considerable discussions about an immunity passport to grant those whove had the virus or received the vaccine to go about their normal lives and work. This is unprecedented in American society. To begin with vaccines do not work against VIRUSs. The annual flu shots are a good case in point, flu virus strains mutate quicker than the vaccine development resulting in no protection for the new strain floating around. Even more diabolical are some of the plans (not conspiracy theory) being advocated by the likes of Bill Gates and his associates. Citizens arent taking those plans too well either.
Thanks for your work and all posters on TM. CW2. We are in it every day. Asymmetric war.
Hope everyone had a blessed Resurrection Sunday
Wuhan Virus -
Many of the various categories I’m following have now integrated effects from this pandemic, but I’m keeping them separate for clarity. Check numerous FR threads for more specific corona virus threads. We are entering uncharted waters as far as this pandemic goes. . . . . .
Economic repercussions of the current response to the virus are becoming staggering. JP Morgan economists are predicting a devastating 40% drop in U.S. GDP in the second quarter, coupled with a 20% unemployment rate. These numbers are daunting and demonstrate that the current nation wide shut down is becoming worse than the disease. Current estimation of fatalities is in the 60K range - placing is squarely within annual flu deaths, but many are noting that using real data, the toll will be much lower perhaps under 40K. Increasing reports that the death figures are being massaged by counting other causes, inflating the numbers. A lot of numbers games - check FR threads for more details.
Meat processing and packing plants have closed in many places across the country due to workers coming down with the corona virus. One can project similar to other food processing/packing facilities. Farmers are dumping millions of gallons of milk every day and some are having to plow fresh vegetables back into the soil. This is the widening ripple effect I noted weeks ago that threatens our basic food supply chain. Transportation industry is straining too with sickness and lack of basic support such as rest areas, food and places to park for the night.
The Kremlin said on Saturday a huge influx of corona virus patients was beginning to put a strain on hospitals in Moscow as Russias death toll rose to more than 100. Moscow and many other regions have been in lock down for nearly two weeks to stem the contagion, but hospitals in the capital are still being pushed to their limit, officials said.
India/Pakistan -
They are still shooting at each other across the LOC using artillery and mortars. So far this is at a skirmish level and I’ve not seen any reports of a build up of forces to suggest anything bigger.
Congo -
As if the corona virus isn’t enough, officials there fear another outbreak of Ebola is starting up following a 7 week period of no recorded cases. The last round was the second deadliest on record.
Turkey -
Turkey is facing nation wide shut down to try to stem the corona virus there. This will seriously impact Turkey’s activities in Syria, Libya and the Mediterranean. Besides the economic impact, it will remain to be seen just how impacted its military will be.
Israel -
After appearing that the year long uncertainty of who’s running the government had ended after the third election, talks between Netanyahu and Gantz’s parties seem to have hit ground and the President Rivlin is reluctant to grant more time for them to work things out - rearing the ugly head of a possible fourth election.
IAF drones and jets have been over Lebanon for the past several days nearly constantly. IAF has repeatedly launched attacks on Syria from Lebanese airspace and the near constant activity is useful in lulling Syrian ADA and Iranian targets (supply and leadership) into a normalcy bias mode placing them off guard for an attack when it comes.
CW2/Civil Unrest -
Numerous churches had their Easter weekend services disrupted/stopped by local government. Those at Marysville Baptist Church in Kentucky even found nails scattered in their church driveway (an act that should be considered terrorism). This has spawned numerous lawsuits and in one case a federal injunction against Louisville, Kentucky Mayor Fischer. This is the current cutting edge in increasing push back to what are becoming draconian measures to force people to stay at home. The federal govt may be stepping forward to support churches on this matter. Americans can “expect action from the DOJ” this week to limit the power of local and state governments to stop religious services from happening, DOJ Director of Communications Kerri Kupec said Saturday. We’ll see what happens if anything happens.
Remarkable amount of information to process out there today.
Wuhan Virus -

Hospitals experiencing a surge of corona virus patients are also struggling to maintain supplies of antibiotics, antivirals, sedatives required for patients on ventilators, and other drugs produced in countries where the corona virus has shuttered or curbed manufacturing - the primary source being China.
The president has announced a back to work task force to get the economy rolling. Texas announced that they will be implementing a start up plan this week. Probably in response, blue states on the west coast and northeast announce regional “pacts” to coordinate economic recovery in their regions. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, the governors of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Connecticut and Rhode Island announced they will each appoint three people from their states to come up with a reopening plan. In the west, representatives of the governors of Washington, Oregon and California announced a pact to coordinate economic restart in a coordinated manner.
Russia -
Over the past two weeks, the spread of COVID-19 in Russia has accelerated. The country currently has more than 18,000 officially registered cases and 148 deaths. Moscow authorities started issuing digital permits to reduce violations of the corona virus lock down as Russia on Monday. Although these numbers are well below what is being announced in European countries like Spain, Italy and the UK, the outbreak appears to be still in its early phase and has the potential to expand to a much higher level. That will generate further economic crisis, one which hasn’t been abated by the recent agreement in oil production and prices. These combine to put a serious kink in Russia’s foreign policy efforts - primarily in Ukraine, Syria and Libya, which have been consuming a serious amount of money. This may force them to scale down their presence and influence in the middle east/Mediterranean in order to maintain efforts against Ukrane.
China -
A lot of issues surrounding China today.
There is RUMINT that Secretary Xi is in trouble within China, with some allegations the party elite want xi gone. The Guangdong elite (Uncle Dengs family) are beginning to rattle the cages of change against the supposed emperor for life. Much likely has to do with the loss of face from losing the tariff/trade war with the US, internal inability to handle major disease plagues to their pigs and poultry markets, locust infestations, negative press on human rights (Hong Kong, Uyghur and Christians) and now the whole Wuhan virus mess that threatens to have manufacturing move out of country to preserve supply lines and remove Chinese influence. All fall into Xi’s lap.
Japans ministry of defense said Monday that the Chinese aircraft carrier Liaoning and its strike group, including five warships, passed through the 155-mile wide Miyako Strait between the Japanese islands of Okinawa and Miyako on Saturday, before turning south and passing east of Taiwan on Sunday. The strait is an international waterway. This is an exercise in increased belligerence, particularly in the face of its failed PR campaign to deflect international criticism away from its handling of the initial stages of the corona virus outbreak. Some are concerned that China is attempting to gain ground in the region while surrounding countries and the US struggle with the effects of the pandemic.
Wisconsin State Sen. Roger Roth said he received emails from Chinese officials in February asking the legislature to praise the Chinese government for its work fighting against the corona virus. Instead, he submitted a resolution that slammed China for suppressing vital information on the virus, allowing it to spread globally.
NKorea -
Overnight N Korea fired several ground launched cruse missiles, their first since June 2017. They flew roughly 93 miles off the coast, per a South Korean defense official. The missiles are believed to be KN19 anti-ship cruise missiles. Later on Tuesday, fighter jets fired an unspecified number of air-to-surface missiles towards the same waters. These launches are on the eve of North Koreas late founder, Kim Il Sung’s 108th birthday, the grandfather of current leader Kim Jong Un and parliamentary elections in the South. Recent days there have been near continual air surveillance/intelligence flights along the border indicating that western intelligence believed something was about to happen.
In North Korea the government made all information relating to the corona virus a state secret and denied that there was a problem in North Korea. It is believed that infections are ongoing, but lacking a modern health care system, they are forced to let the epidemic pan out the old fashioned way.
Ukraine -
A radioactive cloud from a fire in the contaminated territory of Chernobyl reportedly will cover the capital of Ukraine Kyiv, tomorrow, April 14. Efforts are increasing to prevent this mega-fire from reaching the encased power plant and potentially mobilizing higher concentrations of radioactive material into the air. There are also concerns that wind shifts could carry these radio active particles into Europe.
Israel -
With the mandate to form a government extended to Wednesday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Blue and White leader Benny Gantz reconvened on Tuesday morning after reporting making significant progress toward building a national emergency government in a meeting on late Monday night.
CW2/Civil Unrest -
More voices warning of food shortages that could lead to severe civil unrest.
Black Swan -
The Guardian of London reported that since Jan. 21, the Reykjanes peninsula southwest of Iceland’s capital, Reykjavik, has experienced more than 8,000 earthquakes. About 10 centimetres of land has risen due to magma intrusions underground, the paper said.
“It seems that after being relatively inactive for many centuries, this region is waking up,” Lancaster University volcanologist Dave McGarvie told the Guardian. The area is fed by five volcanic systems, the Guardian said, “which seem to come to life in a coordinated way roughly every 1,000 years.” A major eruption in Iceland could effectively close down all air travel in England and western Europe. The 2010 eruptions of Iceland’s Eyjafjallajökull caused the largest air-traffic shut-down since World War II.
Appreciate your updates with interesting info.

Yesterday the President announced the US will stop funding WHO until there is a full accounting for its malfeasance regarding the corona virus pandemic. Good news for once.
Many trial balloons rising on schemes to restart the economy. The leftist governments on the west coast and northeast are using this to embed progressive/Marxist economic elements that will kill any restart by their over regulation and probably additional fees/taxes.
Nigeria -
Not often mentioned here because it is commonly overwhelmed by other news. ISIS is waging war against the government and isolating Christians in particular for violence. The country has seen a rising tide of religious violence since the beginning of the year, with hundreds of Nigerian Christians having been murdered since the start of 2020. Christians are a ‘soft target’ and allows them to loot and terrorize an area without having to engage the military - a situation that they commonly does not end well for them. An offshoot of Boko Haram, they have been gaining ground against the Nigerian army and a coalition of supporting militarys. This group threatens other nearby countries - Chad, Cameroon, Libya, Niger, Nigeria and the Central African Republic/CAR.
Iran -
IRGU elements captured a Hong Kong flagged vessel in the Gulf of Oman. It is owned by AOXING SHIPMANAGEMENT out of Shanghai, China manned by Chinese nationals. It was released a short time later to resume its transit to Jubail, Saudi Arabia. At the time of seizure it was sitting at anchor in international waters.
China -
On Thursday, the DOJ issued a statement noting that interested Executive Branch agencies unanimously recommended that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) revoke and terminate China Telecom (Americas) Corp.s authorizations to provide international telecommunications services to and from the United States. This is expanding to ALL Chinese owned/related telecom companies. This is likely the start of the next round of trade/economic wars between the US and China. Britain is reportedly looking at similar measures.
Germany -
The federal German prosecutor’s agency announced on Wednesday that five alleged Islamic State members were arrested in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia for planning terrorism attacks against US forces.
They jointly founded a so-called cell in Germany. They initially planned to travel to Tajikistan to take part in fighting against the government as part of the armed jihad. After the accused had refrained from this project, they now intended to commit fatal attacks in Germany, said the prosecutor in a statement.
Ukraine -
A smoke cloud from a fire in the contaminated territory of Chernobyl is being reported to be safe and not radioactive as reported yesterday. Fires in the area are also reported to be undercontrol.
Israel -
Efforts to come to an agreement on a new government are under a deadline of today to get it accomplished. Monitoring.
CW2/Civil Unrest -
Protests broke out yesterday protesting the stay at home orders across several states. Locations included Ohio and N Carolina (arrests made). Arrests made in Raleigh NC had the police stating afterwards “Protesting is a non-essential activity.”
More protests are planned in Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Michigan and others as this drags out.
Gun and ammo industry representatives are indicating that recent runs on guns and ammo are about to reach 0bama era levels. Manufacturers are having difficulty meeting demand for both.
A 13-year-old boy has been identified as a leader of an international neo-Nazi group linked to plots to attack a Las Vegas synagogue and detonate a car bomb at a major US news network. Estonian police were tipped off by the FBI last year and arrested the boy. He was a leader in the Feuerkrieg Division - a neo nazi group that has been in the new. FBI joint terrorism task force in Las Vegas began investigating 24-year-old Conor Climo in April 2019 after learning he was communicating over Wire with Feuerkrieg Division members. Another man linked to Feuerkrieg Division, U.S. Army soldier Jarrett William Smith, pleaded guilty in February to separate charges that he provided information about explosives to an FBI undercover agent while stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas, last year.
Auburn Mayor William Kirby announced his resignation due to the backlash he prompted when he posted a Tweet insinuating that many supporters of President Donald Trump are also members of the KKK. Kirby defended the tweet in a statement, claiming his Twitter posts were meant to be private and made out of frustration. No apology except for getting caught.
Food banks across the nation are having trouble replenishing their food stocks in part because they rely upon donations from stores. Layoffs from this corona virus disaster has strained their capability to meet increased demands. The old saying we are only nine meals from civil unrest is applicable here. If something hits the food supply chain any more than it has, rioting/looting may become a serious problem. I’m considering this - cheap gasoline may permit these looters to go into other areas normally safe from looting as stores are forced to close in inner city/metropolitan areas.
Wuhan Virus -

China urges the U.S. not to halt its funding to the World Health Organization, saying it would undermine the global fight against the coronavirus pandemic. China has made it national policy NOT to cooperate with efforts to understand how the virus got its start in the country.
More smoke - increasing number reports that indicate the US believes the initial transmission of the virus a naturally occurring strain that was being studied there was bat-to-human and that “patient zero” worked at the laboratory, then went into the population in Wuhan. Reports say that the evidence is still under collection, but more and more coming out supports the conclusion. Little wonder China is fighting the global effort to understand the origins of the virus.
Iran -
Eleven Iranian IRGCN vessels repeatedly conducted dangerous and harassing approaches with US Navy warships in the North Arabian Sea on Wednesday. One reportedly came within 30 feet of one of the naval vessels. The Iranian vessels are of the speed boat variety. This action follows the temporary capture of a Chinese flagged ship earlier this week and escalates tensions in the Arabian Sea.
China -
A new arms-control report from the U.S. State Department raises concerns that the Chinese military has been conducting nuclear weapons tests in violation of an unratified international accord barring all nuclear tests. The report does not present proof that China has violated the zero-yield nuclear-weapons testing ban, but it does show patterns of activity that suggest nuclear testing is taking place. An executive summary of the report list notes extensive excavations at Chinas Lop Nur test site, suggesting the construction of chambers to contain blasts. Such observations may suggest the development of nuclear weapons with very low explosive power.
N Korea -
A bit of mystery. North Korean state media reported Thursday that senior officials paid their respect at the mausoleum of late national founder Kim Il-sung to mark his 108th birthday but did not mention whether leader Kim Jong-un also paid a visit there. That raises the possibility that Kim skipped an annual visit to the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun that he has made on the birthday of the national founder and his grandfather since he rose to power after the death of his father and former leader Kim Jong-il in late 2011. Some observers said Kim could have skipped a visit due to coronavirus concerns.
Lebanon -
In Lebanon Hezbollah has been quick to mobilize their members to deal with the covid19 threat. Uniformed Hezbollah members were very visible aiding victim or handling disinfection and aid distribution work. Hezbollah is desperate to rehabilitate their reputation inside Lebanon. More and more Lebanese are openly criticizing Hezbollah and demanding a government free of Hezbollah violence and influence. For example many Lebanese blame Hezbollah for bringing covid19 to Lebanon because of the frequent travel of Hezbollah personnel to and from Iran. Hezbollah often brings back Iranians with them and several of these recent visitors were later found to have been infected.
Israel -
President Reuven Rivlin called time on Blue and White leader Benny Gantzs efforts to form a government, bypassed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and gave the mandate to form a coalition to the Knesset, on Thursday morning. The president decided that Gantz and Netanyahu were not sufficiently close to forming the long-discussed national-unity government, and ostensibly reasoned that shortening the timeline for a coalition agreement would increase the pressure on both sides to compromise. This starts a 21 day window after which a fourth election if almost certain a compromise cannot be reached (JPost).
Over all, the corona virus has resulted in less violence from Gaza and West Bank as those locations deal with the pandemic. The Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza are accumulating more grievances against their leaders (Fatah and Hamas respectively ) because of the inept way the covid19 crises is being handled. Israeli medical experts expect the disease to be passed within the next couple months and military leaders expect that violence will then resume.
CW2/Civil Unrest -
Protest in Lansing MI did what it promised - brought gridlock to capitol area. In spite of shutting down exits, protesters found many ways into town to protest the governor’s latest health edicts. The success of the Lansing MI protest may fuel increased enthusiasm for others across the nation.
The Pennsylvania senate has passed a measure which would partially reopen the state by lifting the lock down on most of the state’s businesses imposed by Gov. Tom Wolf (D), by a vote of 29-21.
9 meals away from riots - Chinese-owned Smithfield Foods shutters two more meat processing plants in Missouri and Wisconsin after massive coronavirus outbreak closed South Dakota factory, threatening the American food supply chain. “Chinese owned”, should raise flags.
Wuhan Virus -
Significant developments on my radar . . . .
Biggest news was the release yesterday of the Presidents plan to reopen America. I can see conflict with blue states already who are following kalifornias lead in mandating some kind of vaccine before returning to normal. It was implied that as many as 29 states meet the requirements to begin the reopening process.
Claims of 20 million plus deaths in China due to the corona virus are reappearing under reported claims from US intelligence that the number of deactivated cell phones reflect those deaths. Absent the ability to actually review the intelligence (most likely highly classified) Id rate this as very skeptical. Yes, substantially more died than were reported - only yesterday China increased the number killed in Wuhan by over 50% - but cell phone linkage, without more to collaborate is rather weak.
The South China Morning Post is claiming that according to a team of scientists led by the University of Cambridge, the first outbreak of the coronavirus could have happened further south than the central Chinese city of Wuhan as early as September. What to see other confirmation first given Chinas closed handedness in supporting any study into the origins of the disease.
Finally, Chinas economy shrunk 6.8%, a first in a decade.
A Smithfield Foods pork processing plant in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, was visited by representatives from its Chinese Communist Party-tied parent company one month before the first COVID-19 case was confirmed at the facility, according to three employees. After the first illness was confirmed at the plant on March 26, the facility quickly became the epicenter of the states outbreak of the corona virus. Coincidence - I think not!
Guam -
Yesterday, all the bombers stationed at Andersen AFB in Guam redeployed back to the US. This leaves no bomber presence on Guam for rapid response to any threats in the Pacific/Middle East region.
Israel-
President Reuven Rivlin has set August 4 as the date for an unthinkable round of fourth elections should the Likud and Blue and White fail to form a unity government, as negotiations between the two sides was deadlocked Thursday night.
CW2 -
Protests against the heavy handed corona virus restrictions continue to grow and gain momentum. Thursday protests were held at the Virginia State Capitol. Yesterday Michigan Gov Whitman doubled down on her restrictions saying that she may make things even more strict because of the previous days protests. That hasnt been going well with Michigan sheriffs, with 4 stepping forward saying they will not enforce or allow to be enforced many of her restrictions.
Overall, if states dont start taking steps by the end of month to losen these restrictions, the likely hood of civil disobedience grows.
I would have said:
Overall, if states dont start taking steps by the end of month to loosen these restrictions, the CERTAINTY of civil disobedience grows.
But that's just me, and 200 million or so of my fellow Americans...
It's probably a "PFA" number. Pulled From the Air.

Very important!!!
Fits with folks in the US describing WuhanVirus symptoms in November.
Wuhan Virus -
Significant developments on my radar . . . .
Japan is dealing with an increase in infections and there are concerns that its medical system is collapsing due to lack of hospital facilities.
The countrys food supply chain is still challenged but for now holding. Recent meat packing/processing plan closures have caused concern but looking at the actual data albeit a few days old now, the slaughter of chickens, hogs, and cattle actually is down 5 percent, 11 percent, and 16 percent, respectively, since February. However, Ive warned, other parts of the chain are weakening. Regional shipping centers are losing workers to the virus, limiting the shipment of available supples. Truckers are stretched thin as well, though i havent read how impacted they have been to the virus. Farmers caught in the middle are expected to receive support from a 19 billion dollar relief program announced yesterday by the President.
Now on top of it all, there are frozen pizza shortages being reported around the country
Hospitals across the country appear to be suffering - not from the corona virus but sitting empty!. Some locations are reporting layoffs because things like elective procedures have been cancelled as well as other services.
N Korea -
Still no word on Kim Jong Il who has been AWOL. Kim Il Sung’s birthday is a big show and the complete absence of Kim from visible presence to even mentions in editorials published by the party commemorating the day is very odd.
Iran -
Reuters is reporting that the Iranian armed forces have acquired three bomb-carrying drones with a range of 1,500 kilometers (932 miles). The aircraft can be equipped with bombs and missiles, and they can fly at an altitude of up to 45,000 feet.
CW2 -
Protests across the country rejecting the increasingly authoritarian/orwellian nature of health shelter in place directives are gaining steam and Presidential support. this has resulted in restrictions is some locations being rolled back and governors looking to open things up rather than extend the shutdowns. Corona virus karens OTOH are screaming that these protests are threatening them and will unleash a tsunami of infections. It is unbelievable how the sheeple have been mind washed on a lot of this.
