Once the IG report comes out this is over.
Federal government in general is way too big. States should have much more control over domestic crime and issues in general. The problem with a federal judiciary is its lack of accountability. No one is elected, it’s near impossible to get documents, very few are fired because of excessive civil service protection, no one that really opposes government will talk for fear of losing pensions or promotion.
At the end of the day after all the eloquent words, barr believes in big government. He’s still a deep state pig.
The left has gone after Trump everyday for three years, and they haven’t stopped. Why should they quit? One sided war.
By the time this IG report is released, if ever, people will have tired of it. Old news. Who will even read it?
It will be blasted that the timing was meant to interfere with the election. I see Republicans backing down on this too.

I think Grassley sees that the Republican position in the Senate can only lose because it is to this point a purely on the defensive. He wants to go on offense, but Horowitz seems to be hiding the ball. That may not be Horowitz’ intent, but waiting for the perfect time to unleash an offensive is sometimes not a good idea. Sometimes you have to move before you are ‘quite ready’.
Interesting side note, Kavanaugh was being honored at this event and as is custom for a new SC Justice he was greeted with a standing ovation. Everyone stood except one person. That person was Rosenweasel.

History books? The important thing is that this never happens again and that this coup is stopped hard. The ONLY way that happens is with arrests and prosecutions. And the trials must be held far outside of DC. A scornful rebuke in a history book means nothing to them.
By the way, the attackers are rewriting history books and tearing down statues. The words Barr puts in a history book mean nothing.

William Barr required approval from Congress. So he was selected to hide their crimes.
It’ll take time you say? You might not have noticed, but the election is less than a year away. At best he has till Christmas to launch the FBI raids and file charges. (which we all know won’t happen)
After that, the opening motions will take them past the goal line of election day.

The Resistance didn’t cost them anything in the midterms. On the contrary. It helped them win the House. No reason to expect 2020 will be any different with GOP House retirements already piling up.

THe IG report with change nothing. The Dems will continue fighting for every inch of the political battlefield every day. The GOP will continue doing nothing of substance in support of POTUS. That is all.

Precisely! And that is what the defenders of Barr are missing. Manafort, long gone. Stone, quickly arrested and destroyed. But to enforce the law on CLEAR violations of Hillary, Comey, McCabe, Stroyke and Paige, Brennan, Steele, etc seems to be utterly impossible and wea re carefully warned that this glacial process takes time.... so much time.
It’s as plain as day. They are stalling.
