House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) announced on Monday that they would be voting on a resolution to formalize the next steps of the ‘impeachment inquiry.’
From Daily Caller:
“We are taking this step to eliminate any doubt as to whether the Trump Administration may withhold documents, prevent witness testimony, disregard duly authorized subpoenas, or continue obstructing the House of Representatives,” Pelosi said in a letter to Democrats early Monday.
But then later in the day, she came out and said that this was “not an impeachment resolution.”(when asked by a reporter, see video at link)
So is it an actual formal floor vote to open an impeachment inquiry? Or something pretending to be in order to try to remove the Republicans’ good argument that they don’t have the proper authority and are acting without transparency?

I have been here since we were sure Hillary was going to jail over Whitewater so I am used to disappointment but I am getting more than a little tired of promises and excuses when promises don't happen.
A lot of freepers are beginning to remind me of that College Administer in the movie Back to School where they were complaining of about Rodney King. Well gee whiz fellows, he said he was sorry. (or something similar)

Ah yes, the old political double speak. To some it is a resolution about legitimate process to others it is an impeachment bill. It all depends on who you are talking to.
This will hopefully not end well for Nancy and the Democrats.
Pelosi can try to play semantics all she wants... she thinks she can pass this vote and have the public not view it as am impeachment vote..... because if they do, she’ll lose a lot of seats next fall...
So, a lot of DEMS have read the tea leaves and are not going to vote for this thing.. and those that do that are in swing districts know they GONE next fall.
