Pelosi: We’re Taking A Vote, But ‘It’s Not An Impeachment Resolution’

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) announced on Monday that they would be voting on a resolution to formalize the next steps of the ‘impeachment inquiry.’

From Daily Caller:

“We are taking this step to eliminate any doubt as to whether the Trump Administration may withhold documents, prevent witness testimony, disregard duly authorized subpoenas, or continue obstructing the House of Representatives,” Pelosi said in a letter to Democrats early Monday.

But then later in the day, she came out and said that this was “not an impeachment resolution.”(when asked by a reporter, see video at link)

So is it an actual formal floor vote to open an impeachment inquiry? Or something pretending to be in order to try to remove the Republicans’ good argument that they don’t have the proper authority and are acting without transparency?

Pelosi wil wait until the last moment, determine when she has the minimum number of required votes (See: Obamacare), and allow the rest of the DEMs to vote “No” before taking an official vote.

As I have said many times, polls are to INFLUENCE public opinion, not MEASURE public opinion. So what is the intent of THIS poll? This one shows 59% do NOT want to see Trump impeached. There is a more-than 5% margin of error, so it may be as high as 64%+ that do not want impeachment.

A new poll done by Suffolk University for USA Today, gets at some of the nuance behind public opinion on the president and Ukraine.

The Suffolk pollsters gave 1,000 registered voters an opportunity to choose among three options regarding impeachment. Which did respondents personally prefer?

A) The House of Representatives should vote to impeach President Trump. 36%

B) The House should continue investigating Trump, but not vote to impeach him. 22%

C) Congress should drop its investigations into President Trump and administration. 37%

Could it be that the Republicans and the President's counsel could use the impeachment sham hearings/kangeroo court/ Soviet-inspired persecution to actually implement the DECLAS? This method could be a NUKE, followed by a MOAB, followed Democrat Party Scorched Earth?

The process is awful, but not as politically important as getting ‘purple’ Dems camoufage for voting to start the impeachment of President Trump.

Trump is being impeached for uttering the word “CrowdStrike” to the Ukrainian President. Then telling the Ukrainian President the Joe Biden video looked bad - threatening to withhold $1 billion unless a prosecutor is fired - and requested a favor to cooperate with the US Attorney General’s criminal investigation into these matters.

In other words, Trump is being impeached for doing his job.
