I remember Bill O’Reilly saying repeatedly in 2008 and 2012 that there was absolutely no way whatsoever for the GOP to win more of the white vote and that they shouldn’t even try. He implied that the GOP should instead pander to blacks and Hispanics.
Remember Romney saying 48% of the vote was a lock for Democrats because everyone who received government checks including social security and Medicare must be a leftist.
