That isn't close. I can interpret that is many ways. First thing that comes to mind.

Since California never had a chance of winning a republican victory and not long latter the voter registry was cleaned up and reported on corruption.
it suggests the massive corruption is relatively cleaned up for the midterms. I believe that is the objective is justice not winning or losing.

Of course Orange county CA did seem to have a massive voter fraud which does contradict “midterms are safe” Though I’m not sure if people moved out or if it was voter fraud.
