I don’t think they OWN GM. They are a major stake holder, as I believe (though could be wrong) that thr union got some significant stock during the BK fiasco. They are required 8 believe to keep at least 50% of the shares they were granted, but their total share of the company was never 51% of thr overall company.

These shares I believe were part of the pension and the UAW has sold at least some of their shares for cash since the BK.

They may be the biggest single shareholder but they do not hold a controlling interest (50% + 1 share)

Stupid Marxists killing the goose again and again.

I’m a Chrysler Corp brand fan. I refused to buy another Chrysler product until the Union was OUT. After Fiat (Fix It Again Tony) bought out the Union share...I bought a new Ram in 2014. Nice truck. Not even a hiccup for 5 years.

Seems to me the simplest thing to do would be
to give the Union everything they ask for. Every. Last. Demand.

Then, hike the prices of all of its vehicles to pay for the union demands. Make it a specific line on the sticker price: “Union demands”. Watch the market share dwindle and their “profit share” dry up. It’s been more than a generation since the Japanese fed us our asses with cheaper labor and higher quality. Apparently we have forgotten.
