Ok as an ER doc I have to point out a mistake here. He MAY have had a heart attack. But he may not have. Have to see his EKG Cardiac enzymes and the carb to know if he did or not. Regardless scenting is no joke in someone his age.

Would they have gone to the catch lab if the enzymes weren’t positive?

Ok, answer this: How many times have you seen a septuagenarian come into your ER suffering from chest pains and requiring multiple stent insertions whose enzymes were not elevated?

My cardiologist tells me it has never happened in his long years of experience.

I think that your auto correct made a mistake here:

Regardless scenting stenting is no joke in someone his age.

I had a stent put in (age 80) in January of this year.

No heart attack just the pressure over my left chest like a horse was standing on it. Which disappeared by the time I came home that afternoon post stent. I did not have a heart attack.

I feel better everyday.

2 friends the same age decided against a stent and had heart attacks and then stents.

Whether Bernie suffered a heart attack or not, is missing the point.

Having a heart-related "episode" that required hospitalization to have stents inserted in two of his coronary arteries that forced cancellation of his campaign for a few weeks is what the public will see and hear. Whether he had a heart attack or not makes no difference to his election chances.

The political damage to Bernie's campaign has been done already with this incident. If he's smart, he'll bow out gracefully.

I personally had a quadruple bypass and an atrial valve repair 8 years ago and never experienced a heart attack beforehand. But it made no difference to me or the docs. Four of my coronary arteries were 80% occluded. Without the surgery, I was a heart attack waiting to happen.

Bernie's age and fragile health just rose to the forefront as the #1 issue of his campaign. Giving away everything of value to the taxpayer's for free, won't save him now.
