I wish the author would have included if the woman is registered to vote and, if so, what party she aligns herself with? And who she voted for in whatever elections she was allowed to vote in. And who she supports in the upcoming election.

Book learning is fine and dandy for theory. Actual hands on work in the field or the street is something entirely different. Sounds like she’s stuck on stupid or just hard headed, Careful lady, you might get stoned to death over there.
She’s no different than the “progressive wymyn” on numerous university campuses, who rushed off to Syria and Iraq to join the ISIS Jihad, when that was still a thing, and found themselves promptly turned into harem concubines.

The book “Not Without My Daughter” is EXCELLENT. Not a dull moment in it and much better than the movie.
