Good post. Something else to consider is that the people who write these articles assume very little changes between now and the convention. Most of these candidates will drop out long before then ... and their supporters will migrate to other candidates.
If the convention is deadlocked on the first ballot, the outcome becomes unpredictable. For one thing, the super-delegates are not allowed to vote on the first ballot, but can sway the outcome afterward. You could expect a lot of back-room deals, and who knows how that will turn out?
Beware if Bloomberg
“...if nothing else, that the tumor that is Liberalism has metastasized into a very, very ugly cancer....”
Yep. We old timers have seen it before. We have a name for it: COMMUNISM.
Notice something about that photo? She looks the same way Ive seen her in almost every photo and video clip of a public speech or similar appearance shes made in the last two years. Her ass is planted in a soft chair or on a couch ... because she cant even stand up for more than a few minutes at a time.
“...Draft the rookie!...”
Naaah....”Big Mike” has too much to hide..like a penis or something.
Hillary.
She skates by the primaries and only has to face three debates with Trump.
Or a secret deal with Michael Obama.
(s)He just has to not freak out during the debates.
I think the Dems have likely written off 2020, and are giving the old Dems (Hillary, Biden, Bernie) one last hurrah before telling them to get off the stage and go away.
The purpose of this campaign will be to find out who is viable for 2024.
What happened to the Oprah and Tom Hanks presidential rumors? Can Hollyweird save us from Trump?
Obama to preside.
Your theory, if true, was Jeffrey Epsteins death sentence.
Draft the wookie!
If a brokered convention, I’d put money on the Wookie before PIAPS.
The Dems may want a celebrity like Oprah, but Trump is the only person since Reagan that has celebrity experience (name recognition), the skin thick enough and the mind nimble enough to handle politics, imo.
I also am of the opinion that the Obama political “posse” is more capable that what PIAPS could assemble (given the conduct of the PIAPS 2016 campaign).
Of course the easy question is what kind of better argument could PIAPS make in 2020 vs. 2016, given the greater visibility of PIAPS’ corruption and Trump’s success (out of lame international agreements, economic growth, improvements in immigration/wall and, last but not least, conservative judges)? Answer: none.
2024 viability would be important with the right vp pick.
It doesn’t matter.
Psychojawea is failing to sell to Bernie’s partisans.
I believe that he will run if not nominated, and if they pick an establishment corruptocrat the old Commie may pull more votes than the Democrat Nominee.
I agree, it’s going to be a Warren/Richardson ticket
analysis
1) He was right on Biden, he was all over the place incoherent. Kinda sad to watch as he clearly isnt in full charge of his faculties. As much as hes the safe bet for the majority of the party, hes failing.
2) Beto, unconstitutionally confiscating guns is a non-starter - DOWN BIG TIME
3) Bernie - he comes across as a kook, because he is. DOWN
4) Warren - I agree that she may be the final candidate because she can talk, chew gum, and flail her arms at the same time. But her politics are radical and wont sell in a general outside of very liberal Dem Massachusetts.UP
5) Booker - no real plank except Im Black and the country is racist. down
6) Castro, mean to grampa Joe - Down and OUT
7) Asian guy, sideways and soon out.
8) Klobachaur - sideways, not enough support or gravitas to get the nod
9) Kamala - very annoying and zero gravitas - flat on her back
10) Trump - the winner, these folks are plain kooky
11) Dem party - Down, seriously these potential nominees are not anything to cheer about.
12) OVERALL IMPRESSION - The debate consisted of platitudes and lacked any substantive proposals backed up with reality and numbers.
After all, I won in 2016. Really, I did.
Maybe I’m giving them too much credit, but if there is a brokered convention, I can’t see the Democrats being stupid enough to give the nomination to Hillary again.
And she will win - without one seizure or making one stupid comment
The more people see of Hillary, the more they hate her so she is running the perfect campaign
Scamming these nutcases into running and talking crazy so they can get rich and have national exposure cant have cost her more than 75 million bucks which is a bargain to get the nomination
So, it will either be Fauxchohontas or............drum roll, they’ll draft Moochelle the Smell out of Chicago!
That bag has a purpose and its not to hold her phone. I doubt there is anything in there except a vial of virgins blood.
That bag covers a colostomy bag, and/or a brace, and/or the man behind the curtain. And occasionally Huma.
