Rolling Stone magazine recently published an article titled "Trump 2020: Be Very Afraid," which carries the following subtitle: "America is the first country to ever elect a Mad King, and the way things are going, we may be dumb enough to do it twice."
The author, Matt Taibbi, sat down with CNN's "New Day" on Tuesday morning. Among other things, Taibbi said the enthusiasm at Trump's campaign events this year is even greater than it was in 2016, and reporters who cover Trump are not explaining that.

The “magic” is that Trump May be the most unvarnished President this country has had. He speaks straight from the heart, doesn’t lay down the usual wish washy political blather, and he actually tries to do what he promised to do. It’s all refreshingly different from the usual politicians.

Donald Trump does not know how to fix a toilet. BUT he has respect for the man who fixes his toilet. And, we all see that.

President Trump is not a scum-sucking, lowlife, DC Establishment Politician.
For any decent, patriotic American, the preference for that, versus the putrid alternatives—and despite whatever policy disagreements there might be—is eminently (and objectively) intelligent and rational; indeed it’s patently wise.
Of course, given the whimsical faux socialist reality within which CNN’s Alisyn Camerota and her delusional ilk live, such a phenomenon is inexplicable—and therefore "magical”.
