I am pretty sure it does. Life insurance does not pay if the person commits suicide,

But he had a lot of money, so his heirs would still get plenty.

Usually life insurance does not cover suicide, but there may be exceptions with gold-plated coverage.

Depends on the law in the State where the policy is issued and the insured resides.

Most policies pay off for suicide but only after the policy reaches a specified age.

Depends on how far from the issue date. After a year it used to be inconsequential in paying the death benefit.
