Had enough. Seen enough.
The wife and I applied for our Concealed Carry permits on Friday.
Going gun shopping today. Something small and inconspicuous.
I always figured this could never happen to me.
Now I am going to make sure it doesn’t.
Biking at the gym. 9mm with spare mags in bag hanging off the bike.

Yep. My wife and I are right there with ya. Been there, done that. We were at where you are today but only several years ago. My conceal carry weapon is inconspicuous, but has 15-rounds with one always in the tube ready to go. Plus, I carry another magazine with me at all times. Plus, two more mags always stored in the truck. Both of us have CrimsonTrace lasers mounted on em. We spend a great deal of time at the range to keep up our muscle memory and eye coordination. I also used to shoot USPSA competition mostly for the adrenaline rush.
We’ve now reached the point where we either totally avoid or completely “ignore” the so-called “gun free zones”. Yeah, I know all about law-abiding etc. They can all go kiss my azz. It’s utter nonsense and moronic. Like I said: either avoid or ignore em. Concealed is concealed and it stays that way. IF/When the SHTF, I’d rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6.

Good that you’ve decided to arm yourself. Self-defense is your most important unalienable right. On the other hand, instead of something small and inconspicuous you should shop for something designed to save your life.
