They stay down a long time, at least compared to the air I can hold in my old lungs.

They can stay down for the better part of an hour...thanx to convenient tubes they can occasionally breath from.
BTW, the little girl was my niece and while we were at Weeki Wachee Springs, a mural of the Little Mermaid was being painted back home on her bedroom wall. Most of the way home, we were both in stitches laughing because I suggested that maybe the mural artist would sabotage the mural by doing weird stuff with the painting such as painting a big diaper on the mermaid tail. Kept me laughing all the way from Tampa to Naples. I guess you sort of had to be there to appreciate the mirth.
