I took the family to Weeki Watchee sometime around 2006 when I was suffering Disney World fatigue. It was an enjoyable head trip! It totally reminded me of ‘Lester’s Possum Park’ in the movie ‘A Goofy Movie’ but spiced up with strippers working a day job as mermaids. It was kitschy, interesting, threadbare, and cool.
Also CHEAP. It cost the five of us to get in about half what it would cost for one to get into Disney World.
