Judge is generic. A person should proudly declare his/her identity when deciding to go to war with the Universe and it’s King.
If I was on his jury, I'd find him not guilty by reason of sanity.
Poor kid, poor family.
He should be raised as a kid. Over time they can figure out how to help the kid best. Gender dysphoria sometimes isn’t binary. For real - especially at age 8. Let him play, read, have hobbies, get good at them. Ignore gender til puberty and help him be ok with his disability. There are so many different special needs and these kids all need to feel good about themselves, thst Gd made them perfect, that they can work on being then best they can be.
The kid at 8 doesn’t need a gender most of the time. Let him wear what he wants. The school should support him as non binary. This is not the kid’s fault.
The child has no illness, physical or otherwise. HE is a boy, and his mother belongs in a psych ward.
I respect children. If tiny kids feel like the gender they weren’t born, they are telling the truth. It appears to be a brain anomaly. It can’t be fun. You probably feel very “wrong.” But Gd doesn’t make mistakes. We need to find what causes this and we need to love all people born with differences. Compassion and cure/prevention.
Just defy the order and go to jail, or have your son (temporarily) removed from you completely. The outcry over this story would be effective, I think.
This poor kid is a suicide waiting to happen. And the responsibility for his suicide will lay directly at the feet of his mom and the judge. Unfortunately there will be no consequences for them, only for the boy.
Congress is not going to fix things. The Judiciary are not going to fix things. That being the case, I'm all in on President Trump going full Pinochet. Just get a new broom and sweep away every roach, tick, and bug.
Exactly, be very careful who you choose to marry. Discuss things like transgender and other LGBTQ beliefs.
You do not expose children to adult problems. Ever. That is exactly what his mother is doing, mirroring the case in Canada almost perfectly.
The child needs to be observed by a neutral physician for a period of time in order to determine if the child has a mental illness or if he just wants to please his parents (sounds like the latter).
Get a group of friends and fellow church members with “some sand”, march over to the Judges house at night wearing masks and play “anteeefah”. Republicans/Conservatives need to quit being so passive. The ONLY thing that works, is “the fear of god”. Too many Gandhis, and not enough Winnie Mandelas wearing Red.

It sounds to me more like the ex has, for one reason or another, a deep personal grudge against the husband. She wishes to do more than hurt him. She wants to destroy him. To make him a walking dead man, And she is using the child to do it. That it will also, later in its life destroy the child, does not bother her in the least, as long as she takes down her ex. In reality, she probably hates the child also. I am just thankful that I am not the ex.

This poor boy is a victim undergoing serious psychological trauma inflicted on him by his “mother” and the state of Texas, and may next be severely physically abused with the known and unknown risks and dangers of ‘hormone therapy’.
