I don’t think America can survive with these attitudes. But not the attitude you might think.

It matters little that this guy wants socialized medicine, gay marriage, abortion and probably a ream of other nauseating policies. If fact I say let him have it in his “bluest” state. The problem is that he “cares” about others, meaning that he wants to tell those whom he disagrees with what to do. This means that he still wants the federal government to be in charge of everything no matter what.

If we could finally come to the realization that it’s a fight of individuals against the federal government, we could let him and his friends create his blue state utopia. Some of his friends might actually join us in the fight.

But the totalitarians need people to waste their energy fighting policy at the federal level instead of trying to devolve power back to the states.
