I disagree. Only if this is a political “matter.” Criminal prosecutions need to be wrapped up before the election and the Deep State is deliberately running out the clock so that doesn’t happen. In the end things will get to close to the election and that is the reason the GOP will use to abandon POTUS. The reason reason, of couse, is that the GOP don’t care that Obama spied on the Trump campaign

Perhaps you will recall the Mueller Coup had perjury traps, indictments and guilty pleas in months. Where there is a will, there is a way. And right now there is little sense of urgency among the GOP to get to the bottom of this. We are being strung along and the criminal Democrats are running out the clock. Sorry.

Robets will do nothing and the GOP will say nothing about it. The FISA court renewal was rushed through Congress because everybody knew how corrupt it was during the Obama admin.
Anyway, if the warrants were illegal, wouldn't that impact the obstruction claims against President Trump for one, and secondly put Rosenstein in such a compromised position that the entire Mueller report would be tainted against Trump?
AG Barr stated a couple of weeks ago, about when he was before the Senate committee, that there were ongoing investigations of events that led to the whole Russian conspiracy investigation.

I’m sure that’s true. Otoh, for, instance, Trump appointed as ambassador to Albania, the now found to be culpable, State department bigwig Kevalac, in July 2018, and just withdrew it in January, after learning of some incriminating e-mails to, I think it was Bruce Ohr. Rather than knowing everything, all along, I think POTUS knew SOME things, but he and his people are just now coming up to speed on the width and height and depth of this horrendous coup. I think it’s NO coincidence that ever since Barr was confirmed, thing are moving like white lightening, relatively speaking.
