I don't whether to laugh or cry about this article. The 29-year old congresswoman from NY who is telling us we need to completely overhaul the US Economy is stumped by a garbage disposal..... Actually I think it's funny but indicative of how ridiculous she really is...

She does not come from upper crust.her mom’s house sold for less than 500k when the mom moved to Florida. 500k is nothing in Westchester.
Maybe the maid dealt with the garbage disposal when she grew up.
Maybe the maid kept her out of the kitchen and she just didn’t know there was one in there?
Unless a maid kept her away from the kitchen I can’t imagine her not being familiar with a garbage disposal could possibly be true. I am a baby boomer, and live in the middle of nowhere in an old house. I have honestly never had a garbage disposal but encountered many in my life. Even cheap apartments my daughters rented when in college had garbage disposals. I thought everyone in the country but me had one. I have had little to do with them in my life but even I know the basics of using them. Garbage disposals are certainly not just for the rich as she is trying to play it!!

As I read what you posted it made a lot of sense to me. When we had our crazy lefty snowbird neighbor from Massachusetts he was like that. He had no idea how ignorant he sounded when he tried to “relate to the locals” as if we had never been anywhere, done anything. He thought he was among hillbillies. Shock to his system to find out we know what garbage disposals and cement ponds are...and a whole lot more.
The left truly is completely out of touch with most of America and seems to have no idea.
I lived a long time without a garbage disposal. Life would continue if it broke! :-)
