What makes democratic socialism different from regular socialism is that you voluntarily give up your freedom because you're stupid. What you get as the result is just the same, however. A form of tyranny.

Bernie himself doesn't even explain what socialism is. The voters are better left stupid in this case. Most think it's equivalent to welfare or infrastructure.

That is how “democratic socialism” is established. And once entrenched, as in Cuba or Venezuela, the doctrines are enforced with murderous “death squads” that roam the streets and gathering places, to assure that the underground countervailing forces never gain enough traction to threaten the ruling oligarchs.

All forms of socialism descend into a paramilitary rule.
